Playing in Jack

One of our recent purchases was a large yard wheelbarrow we’ve affectionately named “Jack.”  Why that’s his name, I have no idea, but somehow it stuck.

Jack is beyond handy for working in the yard — it’s perfect for hauling stuff around, dragging branches and trimmings to the burn pile, or carting water to the peach tree six hundred feet from the spigot.  When it’s empty, it’s also light enough for Kamy to push around … which she does often.

Last night Kamy created a new game to play in Jack … take a look!

I was filling up Jack to water our peach tree and Kamy decided she wanted to dance.  And dance.  And dance.  And splash.  And play in the water.  For some reason, I don’t think she’ll have any hesitation to play in the sprinkler this summer!

Kamy loves to play in water … especially water from the hose.  She gets completely soaked when I water the garden, so I’m mindful of what she is wearing and what our plans are for the rest of the day before committing to pulling out the hose.  It’s not a minor proposition!  Kamy loves water so much that she got a pair of rain boots to keep her shoes dry when messing around outside.  Well, rain boots are no match for playing in Jack full of water!  When we were all done, Kamy and clothes and boots all went straight into the bathtub for a shower.  What a mess!  =)

Jack is so handy to have around, we’ll probably bring home Jill soon!
