Next on Kamy’s conquered list? Pulling up! She’s officially figured out how to pull up on furniture, baby gates, pant legs … you name it and she’s tried. She’s not always successful yet, but she is definitely getting more consistent and is figuring out the tricks.
Her biggest challenge right now seems to be holding on to things that do not have a solid grip – ie: couch cushions. If she can get her hands around something though, up she’ll go!
In conjunction with pulling up, her crib is now going down. This was the smiling face I found the other day when I went to get her from her nap.
Not how I left her!
Wow, she doesn’t look like a baby in that photo at all! She’s looking more and more like a toddler every day. Where’d my little baby go?!?
Of course, she occupied her time while standing by chewing on her crib. Now there are all sorts of little teeth marks on the crib rails. I’ve fashioned a work-around for the crib at the moment to keep her from doing any more damage, but it’s certainly not elegant.
Use number 871 for cloth diapers. Lol!
She can still get upright occasionally, but it’s not every time like earlier this week. If she can hook her fingers over the top bar though, she’ll hang there until she’s rescued from the crib.

With her increased mobility, she’s getting penned in the front half of the house when Keller or I have projects to work on. One of the off-limits areas is the office — there are too many nooks and crannies and cords and electrical power to let her loose in there. So, the french doors get closed quite often.
Excuse me? Knock knock!
I want in!
Fine, I’ll just eat my way in. Glass is yummy!
This is just the start of little hand prints and tongue-prints all around the house. Lol!
