Gerber HouseParty

One of the cool websites that I found by blog-hopping is called HouseParty.  It’s an event website where you can sign up and request to host a party built around a particular theme.  In this case, Gerber was sponsoring a HouseParty to spread awareness about their baby food and their Start Healthy Stay Healthy campaign.

I’d never hosted one before, so when I got the confirmation email that we’d be selected to host one, I was super excited!  We pegged the party on Friday the 19th and waited for the goodies to arrive in the mail.  I wasn’t disappointed!

Gerber sent two HUGE boxes to our house.  The first box was 51.3 lbs and the second was 47 lbs.  Wow! The boxes were filled with baby food for all stages of their SHSH campaign and also included informational booklets, bibs, and insulated totes.  Since the boxes arrived a week before the party, they got to live in the front living room.  Both Kamy and the cats were pretty interested in the boxes and they kept trying to figure out what to do with them!

RSVPs for the party were pretty minimal, but at one point we were expecting 5 other mommies to attend.  Both Jennifer and Erin were actually able to make it, so we had a small but nice group.  I wish I’d been better about taking photos during the party – especially of our little ones.  Elijah and Edyn were so cute and all three of them played really well together.

Because most of the goodies in the Gerber boxes was food, we each ended up with a TON of baby food.  This is what remained after Jennifer and Erin took all they wanted.  Now I just need to find a home for it!

I also have a stack of bibs and some awesome insulated totes that will get a ton of use.

I’m definitely excited to have stocked my pantry with all the Gerber yogurts and 2nd stage baby foods because Kamy is really turning into quite a big eater.  She’ll easily finish off two containers of baby food at lunch and dinner.  She’s already eating us out of house and home!  Lol!

Thanks for joining us Jennifer and Elijah and Erin and Edyn — we had a great time!
