Easter

We had a wonderful Easter last month!  Kamy was so much more interested in celebrating and we spread out our events over a couple of days.

Oma and Opa came out Wednesday afternoon to spend some time with us and celebrate Kamy’s belated birthday (Oma was driving to Alaska with Regine and Opa was in Colorado when we were in DFW in March).  We had a nice evening and Kamy was so excited to see them.  Then Min came out to spend several days with us for Easter.

Friday we headed down to the city park for an Easter egg hunt sponsored by a local church.  They had a big turn out, so it was fortunate that they split the kids by age.  Kamy was in the 0-3 age group and found four eggs!  She was so excited about it.  Surprisingly enough, they also used mostly hard boiled eggs that had been dyed for the hunt.  I’m sure it sounded like a good idea at the time, cause then you wouldn’t have to worry about little kids getting candy or toys that were tucked in the plastic eggs … though Kamy promptly began peeling the shell off the egg and left a trail of dyed egg shell in the living room.  Strangely enough, those eggs disappeared.  =P

We fully intended on participating in the Daingerfield Easter egg hunt on Saturday as well, but we got there a few minutes late and apparently missed all the fun.  Fortunately Kamy found a few discarded (empty) eggs here and there and was given another by a friend we knew.  Despite not actually doing the “hunt,” Kamy seemed to have a good time exploring at the state park and saying hi to the Easter bunny.

Sunday morning we went to church as usual.  Kamy chose her dress for church and it looked so cute on her … she looks too grown up!

We managed to get a few photos of both her and Caden in the yard and with the bluebonnets in our driveway before Min headed home.

Happy Easter!
