- Kamy’s imagination is in overdrive right now. I never know what is going to come out of her mouth these days and it is so much fun to watch her play with Caden and see what she comes up with. Lately she’s spent a lot of time pretending she is a kitty cat. She wants to be called “kitty cat” all the time too, though we’ve morphed the name into Kamy Cat. I think it’s super cute but she isn’t always a fan of it. She “meows” to answer questions (unsuccessfully, as I insist on real words because yes and no sound identical in kitty-speak). She’s also attempted toclean herself with her tongue and I’ve caught her trying to drink her milk by lapping it up. That’s a bit far I think! She certainly keeps me on my toes, but I’m enjoying the cuddles that come with my Kamy Cat.
- We are making a point to teach Kamy new vocabulary words as they come up. Two that get used frequently are “delicious” and “requirement.” She continues to be a little sponge and will pick things up in no time.
- Kamy remains interested in coloring. I print out several pictures daily for the kids to color. Kamy is fabulous at staying in the lines … when she tries. She tends to favor markers and colored pencils over crayons and she’s worn out a couple different colored markers at this point. Kamy colored a picture for most of the extended family as Christmas gifts and she loved giving them out. Similarly, she is trying to draw figures and animals, rather than just coloring inside the lines. I have approximately zero artistic ability when it comes to drawing, so I’m not very good at modeling how to actually draw something. She’ll have to hit up Aunt Regine for that one. =)
- We’ve had a couple of doosey comments from Kamy this month. She makes us laugh so much! Here are a couple of the most memorable ones:
Momma: “Do you want to get yourself a water for bed?”
Kamy: Pouting, “No.”
Momma: “Okay, no problem.”
Kamy: “But I want to get a water for bed!”
Momma: “You said you didn’t want to, and I believed you.”
Kamy: “Momma, don’t believe me!”“If the weather co-operates then we can go to Dis-a-ney World.” Note that there is no Disney vacation planned, at least not by her parents.
Kamy: “Daddy, do you have any 10s in your money?”
Daddy: “No dear, no 10s.”
Kamy: “Daddy, do you have any 2s in your money?”
Daddy: “No, there are no 2s either.”
Kamy: “Daddy, do you have any 1s in your money?”
Daddy: “Yes, I have some 1s.”
Kamy: “Then I can buy a pony!”
Daddy: “I think you missed something in there dear … Who has the money?”
I love spending time with Miss Kamy. She is a ray of sunshine and energy and constantly keeps me engaged and laughing. Now if I can figure out a way to siphon off some of her spare energy … both to reuse myself and to unwind her a bit I’d be set! Lol!
