Kamy – November

Kamy had such a fun late October and November.  Between Payton and Corinne’s wedding in Houston, the Renaissance Fair, and Halloween, Kamy got to “dress up” to her heart’s content.  She loves all things girly right now — twirly dresses, dancing, jewelry, and PINK.  Also, according to Kamy, there are at least two types of dancing:  pretty dancing and french dancing.  What makes it french dancing?  And why is french dancing crazy?  Who knows.  Hehe.

After we came home from NYC, Kamy was especially sweet and clingy for a couple of weeks.  I won’t turn it down … she tends to be more of a Daddy’s girl, so the extra love on Momma was super sweet.  Whenever we leave, she always tells Daddy, “I love you LOTS!”

Overall we’ve had a lot fewer battles and head-to-heads lately.  She’s been sweet and obliging and generally agreeable.  She’s still four and we still have our little moments, but I’m not feeling nearly as ragged when the kids go to bed as I had a few months before.  It makes everyone’s day smoother when the kids have a good day.  =)  We was especially excited to help cook for Thanksgiving.  She filled the mini pecan pies and did a great job!  She’s so proud to do “grown up” jobs.

Kamy and Caden are still the best of friends.  They play together so well and are really starting to encourage each other when they are playing or trying something new.  They also share their candy rewards from taking care of business in the potty and will routinely share or trade food at meals.  The generosity is a little slanted Caden -> Kamy, but she’s certainly reciprocating.  I love watching them interact and I’m glad they enjoy playing together.

Kamy can now officially ride her bike by herself!  As I mentioned in the October post, Kamy has been working on riding without training wheels.  Now she can get started on her own and will just take off!  We’ve been taking the bikes out on our quiet neighborhood roads and riding up to the stop sign and home again.  Kamy’s getting quick!  I can’t keep up with her on foot any more and would have to jog if I wasn’t staying close to Caden.  Kamy is so excited to be able to ride her bike “all by myself!”  On days we don’t take the bikes out, she still hops on and rides around in circles on our drive way.  Everything is a race to her, so now she has two wheels to race even faster!

Speaking of racing, Kamy earned her first 1st place in MarioKart!  She has come a long way and is certainly getting better.  She was very proud the first time she placed first.  That’s my competitive girl!  Daddy bought her a Princess Peach shirt from Nintendo World in NYC and she has been wearing it all the time.  She loves it!

  1. I know you are enjoying having such a beautiful girly girl! It is great that she likes jewelry; I would love to have a photo of her wearing the necklace I gave her if it fits her now. They are both adorable!
