Night Out

Last night Keller and I escaped the house for some much-needed quality time together.  We had tickets to see the Dallas Summer Musical’s production of Little House on the Prairie at Fair Park.  We were able to pair the show with a great dinner at our favorite restaurant, Lawry’s.  Because Mother’s Day was last weekend and we were out of town, we combined celebrating motherhood with Keller passing his last exam for the CCNP certification.  I’m so proud of him for all his hard work and I am really appreciative for everything he does for us. It also gave us a great reason to make it truly a night out, just the two of us.

Oma and Opa came over to our house for the evening to take care of McKamy.  I was a bit anxious about leaving her for so long — mostly because she is still unused to taking a bottle instead of nursing and I was really hoping that it wouldn’t be a stressful evening for everyone.  Fortunately it went REALLY well and everyone seemed to have a great time.  Attached are a few photos my parents took that night while taking care of McKamy.

Playtime with Opa:

Eating like a pro:

You can’t beat a warm, soft body to sleep on!  Even Katie is joining in on the fun.

Thanks Oma and Opa!  We’re so glad that Kamy’s got you in her life to love on her and make her special.

  1. It sounds like everyone had a great time. Congratulation to Keller on passing his exam.
I remember well going to the Dallas Summer Musicals. Mother use to get season tickets; I always loved the trip into Dallas and the wonderful musicals.
