*Let’s pretend that we aren’t at the end of June when I’m posting this, okay? =)
We had a blast at Easter this year. For the last two years (2013 and 2012 – the last photo) we have gone to the Easter Egg Hunt at Daingerfield State Park. The first year we went, we learned that it starts ON time and don’t bother coming if you’re coming late. Lol! As usual, the egg hunt was over in about 45 seconds, start to finish.
Since we came early, we took the opportunity to take some family photos. Some were out of focus, unfortunately, but we did get a good shot of the four of us with Min.
Kamy got bumped up into the 4-7 age bracket, so she was a little out of her league when he came to the jostling and battle for eggs. With Min’s help she was able to snag a few in her bucket without getting run over.
Caden, however, had no problem getting in front of the pack and taking his time finding each egg. He wasn’t particularly hurried about it, but he was very thorough and wanted to shake each egg when he picked it up to see if there was anything inside.
After we went back home and discovered the out of focus shots, we regrouped and took a few more in our back yard. The background wasn’t as idyllic as the park, but it’ll do.
Happy belated Easter!
