Half a Year Gone

I cannot believe McKamy is 6 months old today.  Time sure has flown this year!  Then again, I can hardly believe we’re almost to October and 2010 is just about gone.  Who knew that the days would go by so quickly?

Everything checked out just fine at her doctor’s appointment today.  She’s pretty much at the same point on the growth charts as last time.  Healthy and happy!

Height – 27″, 90th percentile

Weight – 14.8 lbs, 25th percentile

Head Circumference – 16.75 inches, 55th percentile

Fortunately her shots weren’t nearly as traumatic as last time.  I was braced for the worst but she got past them pretty quickly.  Poor little girl, shots are no fun!

I am so appreciative and blessed that I am able to stay home with Kamy.  I know it will make a huge difference for the woman that she will ultimately become and it’s such a joy to watch her grow up, day by day.  Thank you Keller, for taking such great care of your girls.  We appreciate you working so hard for us!

So, 6 months in, motherhood has been a huge blessing and I wouldn’t give Kamy up for anything.

I love spending time with her and watching her little personality develop.  I loved her when we first brought her into the world, but it seems every day my love for her grows a little more.

I love the sweet moments when she wants to cuddle and hold on to me.

I love the wiggles that she always gets in her pants and how she is in near constant motion.

I love how she pays attention to everything that happens around her.

I love how I can fix almost anything for her – if there’s a problem, she reaches for me.

I love her sweet smile.

Most of all, I love how she’s changed our lives for the better and truly made us into a family.  Keller and I were a couple before she arrived … now we’re a family.

We love you baby girl!
