Sweet (Potato) Success

Last time I was at the store I bought a whole slew of different baby food options so we could try them to see which ones would be a success.

Here are the results so far:

Rice cereal – YES

Organic whole grain rice cereal – no

Green beans – no

Peas – no

Pears – YES

Sweet Potatoes – YES

Put a check mark next to one more kind of food!  McKamy will very happily eat sweet potatoes.  Hooray!

We’re up to a 50% success rate!  To come we still have apples, bananas, winter squash, carrots, and pumpkin apple.  I’ll keep you posted with our tally as we try more.

Nana came by Monday afternoon to drop off Keller’s birthday cake.  It’s always a treat to see her and we really appreciate her making a cake for Keller.  It’s quite tasty!  While she was here, I asked her to try giving Kamy some sweet potatoes.

Kamy like them so much she was determined to feed herself with the spoon.  Fortunately she knows what to do with a spoon once it’s in her hand.  I can’t say she always got it in her mouth though … I think she had sweet potatoes in her ear for two days!

All done!

Cleaning up with her bib:

What a mess!
