So little Miss McKamy has been quite active this afternoon. She tolerated tummy time remarkably well today and spent a lot of time practicing her balance and upper body strength while sitting on Momma’s knee. BUT, we had the most fun while playing in our play gym.
Kamy’s been opening her hands up more and more recently. Instead of staying clenched in a fist, she is starting to discover that she can open her hands and “wave” at the world around her. It’s so cute to watch!
I’ve been trying to get her to grab and hold onto items with little success. I can get her hands open and then to close around an object, but unless she keeps her hands tightly closed, she’ll drop the item rather quickly. Today I put her little fingers around one of the plastic rings and she got a great hold on it. I think it’s because she was able to close her thumb around it along with her other fingers.
I’ll let you watch the results for yourself … they’re quite entertaining. It was a lot of fun for Miss Kamy!
