Daddy Time

One of the benefits of the ice and snow we had the last two weeks is extending the time that Keller can be at home.  When the local school districts are closed, he can work from home by default.  This is on top of telecommuting one day a week that he normally can do.  This means that he was home for 4 straight work days + the weekend and really got some good Kamy time in.  Unfortunately he doesn’t have much to DO at work, but at least he has a little girl to entertain him!

Since he’s been home so much, Kamy’s really becoming more attached to him.  She’ll actively seek him out now when she hears his voice and guesses pretty accurately that she can find him in the office.  Kamy’s started to pull up on his jeans, just like she does to me.  I know Keller’s enjoying all the attention!  McKamy is definitely still a momma’s girl, but I don’t think that will last too much longer.  I’m trying to enjoy it while I can!

All that being said, Daddy comes up with some great new games to play with McKamy.  A consistent hit is the kleenex boxes stacked in the kitchen.

Who’d have thought that Kleenex boxes would be so much fun?!?

Side note — My apologies for the long videos. Apparently what I did in Picasa didn’t actually edit the files. Feel free to watch a little and be done. There’s nothing extra super special at the end or anything.

Here’s a video I caught of them playing before bedtime the other day — apparently stacking cups will also stack on your head too.

As I’ve mentioned before, Kamy really wasn’t much of a babbler for the longest time.  She was perfectly content to watch and observe and was less interested in interacting.  As a result, she really only has “mama” down pat and we’re still working on “dada.”  Here was an unusually vocal conversation with Kamy the other night!
