Kamy’s had three birthday cakes so far! And with another birthday celebration next weekend, she’ll get more than her fill of sugar and icing for quite a while. Fortunately she doesn’t seem to get all hyped up on sugar and is still our little sweet girl. No chaos from sweets quite yet!
For her birthday at home, I made her special carrot cupcakes with orange cream cheese icing. They were even yummy for the big people! Thanks Andrea for the great recipe.
Kamy wasn’t quite sure how to go about eating it — it’s kind of hard to grab and the icing sticks to your fingers. She worked it out though!
When we were all done, it was definitely bath time …
All clean!

Then on Sunday we went to Nana’s house to celebrate with Nana, Grandpops, and Aunt Gina. Lunch was Nana’s classic spaghetti — something we hadn’t had in a while and really was a treat. Kamy loved it too!
McKamy was given some great presents too — more books (including the Very Hungry Caterpillar), a bubble mower, a pretty sun dress, and new bathing suits!
Great fun was had by all, but the best part was chocolate cake with white icing. Keller’s parents have photos of him in the exact same high chair at his first birthday enjoying the same birthday cake. It was important to us to continue the tradition with little Miss Kamy.
We ended up quite a little mess, but nothing like Daddy was his first time!
So once again, happy birthday sweetheart. One more on Saturday and then we’ll look forward to birthday #2! We love you!
