On our way up to Colorado, we stopped in DFW for four days to spend time with family. We got a chance to see nearly everyone while we were in town and had a nice time.
We stayed at Granpops house all week and both kids really enjoyed getting to spend time with him in the evenings. Kamy slept on a queen size bed all by herself … she’s getting so big! We didn’t even bring the second pack n play and just planned on her sleeping on a bed. Knock on wood, she hasn’t rolled off anything yet, so it’s working well! Kamy loves to ring the antique bell Granpops has on his counter too — it’s so much fun!
On Wednesday we went to Nana’s house and spent the afternoon visiting with her. Both kids had a great time playing! Caden and Kamy both love playing with all the wooden spools of thread Nana has collected … they’re just perfect for stacking and putting in your mouth!
Thursday we went to Grandmommy and Grandbobby’s house. Kamy loves to pull out all of Grandmommy’s bears and line them all up on the fire place. M&Ms are always a hit — Caden discovered how tasty they are too!
Friday we had Caden’s doctor appointment and then we went up to Oma and Opa’s for lunch and swimming. Since we would be driving over night up to Colorado, we were hoping to wear both kids out so they’d sleep well in the truck. Nothing works better for wearing out children than an afternoon in the pool! They both had a great time in the water and were thoroughly wrinkled by the time they were done.
We left about 7pm from NW Fort Worth and both kids were asleep before we got to Decatur. Hooray, the pool worked!
