Once again, we had beautiful spring weather for Easter!
We went to the Easter egg hunt at Daingerfield State Park, as we did in 2013 and 2014. We learned in 2012 the hunt lasts approximately 18.5 seconds, so you better be ready on time! We got there early to take family photos. Kamy’s dress was especially important to me this year because it was one Regine and I wore when we were little. My Oma made a series of Easter dresses for us growing up, so I am thankful that I can pass them along to Kamy now.
The “search” area for their age group doubled in size this year, so the kids had better luck getting ahead of the locusts and filling their baskets. Daddy took Caden and Min took Kamy so I could stand in the back for photos.
The kids found three eggs with prize slips in them, so in addition to candy, Caden got bubbles and Kamy ended up with some friendship bracelets and a necklace.
As in 2013, Oma and Opa were out in Linden for the weekend too! The dogwoods usually bloom the first week in April, so they made a point of being in town. We spent the rest of the day in Linden — playing with Oma and Opa, hunting for more eggs, chasing bubbles, eating lunch, fishing, and generally enjoying the beautiful weather. Phillip and Brandy were even out there, so we had a great group.
Happy Easter!
Xoxoxo!
