New Clothes!

Little Ms McKamy continues to grow like crazy!  She’s now three weeks old and has put on a full inch in length and nearly two pounds since birth.  That’s a lot more than I was expecting!  She’s about 21 1/2 inches long now and weighs 8.7 pounds.

At our shower we were blessed with a lot of new clothes for Kamy – most of which are in the 0-3 or 3-6 month sizes.  We didn’t have very many newborn sizes.  That ended up being a good thing though, since she’s officially outgrown them already!

If it says newborn on the tag, odds are the hole for her head is too small and the item is too short for her.  I made her mad this morning by trying to get her dressed in two onesies that were just too small … sorry dear!

I squeezed her into one of the zippered sleep n plays that she’s been wearing for the last time this morning.  The little girl couldn’t stretch out her legs all the way — they were too short.  Thus, I’ve officially started a plastic tub to store the pieces that she doesn’t fit any more.  I’m afraid this tub is going to fill up way faster than I want it to!  She’s not supposed to grow this fast!

I did buy a set of zippered sleep n plays for her at Walmart today — in the 0-3 month size.  Keller prefers to use these when getting her dressed, so I wanted him to at least have a few options when he is taking care of her for me.  I don’t mind using the onesies myself — I think they’re easier to use.  But, she tends to get a little cold at night if she just has the onesies on, so unless we are swaddling her too, the footed sleepers are a better choice for her.

Happy baby!
